Ghost Rider: The new Scania R650 super truck of transport company Jen Bode showcases the prototype and the Herpa model. The model is available as a special edition, item 121 538.

New Herpa models are presented.

July / August 2014 releases promote the new Volvo FH GI XL truck, Mini Cooper Countryman; Wartburgs and Trabants; Volkswagens; Renault semi-tractors; ambulances; fire trucks, police cars; SPECIAL EDITIONS Scania trucks; semis with varieties of specialized trailers; more components and transporters for the Liebherr heavy crane; Porsches, and Minitanks.

REPORTING
1. Metz-Rallye Classic ‘14: The famous Metz classic car rally saw Herpa sponsored cars racing. Their Porsche 911 is offered as model No. 914 789.

2. A Classic of the Bundeswehr: the mighty and versatile MAN 5-ton truck and variants, in military and civilian use. Several of these trucks are available through Herpa’s Minitanks series.

3. From Resin To Perfect Model: One of the most compelling and fascinating and enlightening features I have read! Presenting the creation of a model, from concept, to design, to machining tools and molds, to finished model. The article takes the reader through the processes of preliminary work, injection molding, printing and paint, construction and mold, embossing chrome finish, the paint shop, the wheel making system, assembly. The process demonstrates the creation of a Scania semi-truck decorated for driving magazine FERNFAHRER: “Long-distance Driver”, “Three decades For You on the Road”.

CONVERSIONS
a. Military to Civilian, Part 1: Bruno Kaiser begins a series of converting military vehicles into civilian use by modifying Minitank Opel Blitz trucks.

b. Große Klappe / Big Flap: demonstrating adding electronic to convert Herpa models into an elaborate small remote-control tandem semi truck, by modeler Hartmut van Jüchems.

c. The Difference Is In The Detail: Amazingly detailed flatbed crane trucks.

d. ”Peter’s Toolbox”: demonstrates a variety of mini-motor tools used to create an Faller automated model roadway system.

DIORAMA
Harbor Scenes : a large and amazingly detailed model industrial harbor: ships, trains, road vehicles, cranes; people and wildlife; new produces and automobile graveyards. A mesmerizing diorama by Wolfgang Leusch.
