Introduction
Medea Airbrush Cleaner is a product for cleaning acrylic paint from your airbrush. Medea is marketed in partnership with Iwata.
Medea Airbrush Cleaner is a high strength cleaner for acrylics, water-based products, gouache, inks or dyes. It is ready to use and environmentally safe. - Airbrushes.com

Uses
From the Airbrushes.com web page:

Cleans airbrushes and synthetic or natural-haired paintbrushes.

Spray through the airbrush between colours and at the end of the day, then rinse through with water.

Soak parts in the cleaner for an hour or overnight to remove build up of paint.

    Use in ultrasonic cleaners.

You can look at the photos to see what the bottle is like. Airbrushes.com advertises 3 bottle sizes.

My Experience
Airbrushes.com sent this cleaner and I have used it many times in my airbrush. I have used it with the following acrylics;
    Darkstar Miniatures' Molten Metals
    LifeColor
    Pactra
    Polly Scale
    Tamiya
    Vallejo

Medea Airbrush Cleaner cut right through it and left my paint reservoir and spray tip clean. What more can I ask?

While this cleaner is advertised as environmentally safe, I do notice that where it came into contact with my skin, that my skin feels dry even 24 hours later. I suggest using eye and breathing protection.

Conclusion
Medea Airbrush Cleaner works and works well. I have not complaints about it, intend to clean my airbrushes with it and recommend it.

I really like this product and buy the big bottles of it. The only thing I will say is wear a mask when spraying it through an airbrush as it does irritate my airways.

My mask (a respirator) goes on before I turn on the spray booth or compressor, and before spraying anything. ... Guess I'm just a safety nut! ... 📴 —mike

Always safety first. I also use just plain water with some dawn liquid dish soap.

How much better does this work than lacquer thinner(my go to)?

Medea is the only cleaner I use. Works perfectly, without a bunch of hype.

For acrylics, Medea is the best, and a little more environment friendlier then lacquer thinner.

It's best to get as much paint out of the Airbrush first with water or thinner then use the cleaner. I strip down the airbrush every time I use it, if you don't you may think your getting all the paint out your not. you can say a clean airbrush is a happy airbrush. If you take care of it, it will take care of you. I don't like to use lacquer thinner in my airbrush to much it can attack the o rings and stuffing. besides there is no standard for what goes into lacquer thinner. you have no idea what your breathing.

That's why I wear a respirator. I can't comment on "environmentally friendly", but I can verify that my spray booth captures the excess.

yes but does your booth vent to the out side?
