Inspired by a real time photo, Vladi once again sculpted a nice pair of German tankers. Despite the photo is taken during North Africa campaign, he sculpted the figures in standard panzer uniform that can be used on many scenes for different periods of World War II.
literally means feeding of the predators , better to say Tigers’ Feeding as the photo is taken next to a Tiger tank. Kit includes two 1/35 scale resin cast Panzer crew sitting on jerry cans with mess tins and spoons at hand.
Kit comes well packed in standard BRAVO-6 box labeled with a painted photo of figures. As usual, parts are served with casting blocks. Note that blocks on the back of body parts are removed for review. Casting is clean and crisp with no air bubbles or mistakes but a short cleanwork will be needed to get rid of a few seamlines.
Each figure comes in 4 parts as body, head and two arms. A jerry can with a seperate handle and a spoon are supplied for each tanker. Figures are posed to sit on jerry cans. Jerry can for Figure-A should be assembled on horizontal position and other one for Figure-B with crossed legs on vertical position.
Both figures are sculpted in standard panzer crew uniforms. They wear double breast and short waist Panzer Wrap Jacket and Panzer Field Trousers. Under the jacket, they have dark-grey, pocketless, half open-front with four buttons M40 Undershirt with long sleeves. Uniform details like wide collars with pointed edges, collar tabs, shoulder boards, flap covers of pockets, buttons and button holes, breast eagle on the right side and cloth folds are all well represented. As for the footgear; Figure-A has black leather Long boots and Figure-B has Ankle Boots.
Heads are given as seperate parts with Side cap. Figure-B has a bandage under his cap. Facial details, eagle emblem, national cockade and piping of Feldmütze are well defined.
Right arms of the figures are posed to hold a spoon.
Left arms are posed to hold a Mess tin.
Two German army 20 lt Jerry cans to be used as seats for the tankers. Handles are given as seperate parts and markings with embossed letters like Kraftstoff 20L - fuel 20 liters and Feuergefährlich - flammable are well defined.
Spoons will need some extra care to remove from sprue.
Since 2014, BRAVO-6 released great kits depicting German tankers at rest to display next to Panzers. First one was tankers playing music Lili Marleen. Then three kits for daily make-up as Barberwaffe series 1, 2 and 3. Latest German Tanker posed to pee and now Panzer Crew eating rations.
Another easy to assembly kit with high quality cast to display alone or combine with others to create larger scenes.
