Live Resin introduced modular concept in military figure production, offering figure kits with all the equipment pieces cast separately. This way the modeler can customize the figure by attaching various pouches and backpacks to the figure, thus obtaining the desired military rig setup.
In order to maximize the flexibility of their concept, the company released several different sets of modern individual equipment. This review covers one of the latest equipment sets from Live Resin: Different Magazine/Utility Pouches Set (LRE 35332).
The set is packed in a zip-lock bag secured between cardboard backings, with CAD box art showing the contents of the kit. The set contains 13 pieces cast in grey resin. The resin looks really good and upon closer inspection I found no imperfections in the cast, with the details sharp and nicely defined. The pouches and small equipment pieces are delivered on three carrier blocks: LRE-35332A offers various utility pouches, while LRE-35332B and LRE-35332C provide different ammo magazine pouches, chest pouch and backpack… altogether a nice collection of individual equipment pieces.
Along with other equipment sets already released from the company, these pouches and backpacks can be used as an accessory on Live Resin’s own line of figures, but also as modular equipment on various other 1/35 scale figures.
Different Magazine/Utility Pouches Set (LRE 35332) from Live Resin offers a selection of 13 individual equipment pieces in 1/35 scale. Nicely cast in resin with loads of details, these pieces can be used to customize various 1/35 scale figures.
Highs: Perfectly cast in resin and offering a nice variety of different modern equipment pieces, these pouches can be used to customize 1/35 scale figures.Lows: None.Verdict: Highly recommended.
