Panzerschreck

introduction
Alongside the recent explosion in the 1/48th sale armour catalogue, and as a consequence of it, Czech manufacturer Hauler has been making a name for itself producing high quality resin and photo etched upgrade sets. This set consists of resin and photo etched parts to make three panzerschreck, which was actually the 8.8cm Racketen Panzerbuchse or armoured battleaxe.

the set
The set arrives in a small clear bag with cardboard insert and header, and tiny instruction sheet. The main body of the panzerschreck is of course, in resin with separate resin handles, but the shield introduced on later versions to prevent the firer being subjected to backblast is supplied on a small photo etched fret, along with a sight, trigger, steadying bracket, and a small exhaust deflector for the end of the tube.

The three panzerschreck included, are perfectly formed and attached to a small pouring block which is easily removed leaving a small amount of residue that's easily removed. Assembly is fiddly, but once made up these are extremely accurate, beautiful miniatures of the real thing.

conclusion
A great little set of three panzerschreck from Hauler that will look great in a 1/48th diorama! Highly recommended!

SUMMARY
Hauler continue to produce really excellent 1/48th update sets and accessories, and these beautifully produced panzerschreck will look a treat in any diorama setting.
