The Hobbyboss 1/48th scale T-34's met with almost universal acclaim when they were released earlier this year. Beautifully made, with a full interior, at a very reasonable price indeed, they seemed to have been pantographed down from Trumpeter's 1/16th releases. One innovation they contained was the engine grill being made from metal, but already cast inside a styrene part, which gave the modeller a ready-made part of exquisite quality. Strange then, that the side grills were not only, not done in th same manner, but were included as styrene parts with a diamond pattern only engraved onto them. Hauler to the rescue!
This set is very small, and very simple. It consists of only the one tiny PE fret, that contains four small grills, and four small support frames for them. To install them it's a sinple matter of removing the styrene ones from the kit parts, and replacing them. This shouldn't be too much of a problem to even the most inexperienced modeller since the moulded on ones are at the edges of the styrene parts, and therefore relatively easy to remove cleanly.
A nice liitle set from Hauler, which will look infinitely better than the styrene parts supplied by Hobbyboss. I couldn't find a price for these, but assuming they're priced reasonably, then recommended.
A handy little set that of engine grills from Hauler that will take only minutes to install but will add loads of appeal to your finished model.
