Hi folks,

My first post here on the Dingforum. Hi to those I know already and Hi to those I don't.

Actions speaking louder than words, here's pic or two of the Churchill AVRE I'm working on. Had intended to post it here first but the dog was away for a long walk lol, lol.

Look forward to contributing to the site and viewing your excelent builds.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

Many thanks for the kind and friendly welcome.

Andy working on the Generator Room at the moment here's the latest, as I decided to go with plastered walls. Still lots to do here but I think I'll stick with this general layout.

Excuse the flash. If I get it organised this weekend I'll take the whole lot outside and get some decent pics.

Cheers

Hi Alan, welcome

I love the AVRE and the generator thingy looks really well done

Where abouts do you live and what's the significance of the "53" in your avatar space?

Hi Mal,

Thanks for sorting out the Bulldog and the comments on the AVRE.

I'm Luton based and the 53 is the WW2 Tac SIgn of the Irish Guards my old regiment.

If you like the Generator thingi, there's a bunch of Updates on Shipwrights I just posted this evening under Pier 51 Lighthouse Painting.

Cheers

Welcome aboard Alan.
Love the AVRE. Is it a resin detail set for the Tamiya kit ?

Hi Andy,

The conversions are from Resicast, their AVRE Turret and Wadding Trunks.

Gordon at Cromwell Models kindly provided the correct exhausts and an appropraite bin and Ian from Friendship Models provided the rear boggies.

If I can find some suitable decals for the trunks it will be well on it's way to getting finished.

The build was a lot of fun an my first real introdcution to Churchills. I will be doing a few more of these I hope. I love the boggies they just seem to balance the vehicle off.

Cheers
