While walking round in ankle deep mud at Beltring today, there in the middle of hundreds of military vehicles, was a solitary spitfire (I'll post the pics I took when I've uploaded them to my PC)

Here are the photos I promised, sorry they're not very good, it was very, very muddy, and if you stood still for more than 10 seconds the mud tried to pull off your boots (and plus I'm not a very good photographer )

Always nice to see a Spitfire I believe that this might be a mock up as the radiators and carberetter air intake look to be blocked off. Having said that it looks very real from all other angles, apart form the exhaust staining
