hi all! i've been a bit quiet on the modelling front recently due to the simple fact of being really busy at work and also having to do a fair bit of decorating work at home too, plus my other halfs sister is getting married next month and we're having family down to stay. so guess what happened to my modelling room? its very nearly looking like a bedroom again. due to the fact we converted one bedroom into a bathroom i suggested that our three nephews could stay in there, one sleeping in the bath and theres still room for a couple of inflatable beds! this did'nt go down too well after maggie realised i was actually serious!

before

after.

tidy!!! i still really need to do something about the desk, but everything missing from the first pic, stash, table, talking tracey island, full size darth vader helmet and lightsabre, has been stuffed into the loft. although the upside is that i will have to finish about three or four semi built kits now, because i can't get to the others too easily

thats your loft isn't it? i started laying flooring down in mine earlier this year, with the idea of it eventually ending up like your set up. although it'll probably be a couple of years before i get it anything like yours.
looks like we both worked out the only way to board out the joists is with planking cos its the only thing that will fit through the hatch!

stairs? thats luxury! i just have a hatch in the ceiling thats 50 cm square ( i know because its down at the minute so i just measured it, because i'm actually supposed to be decorating the hall and stairs right now!) due to that the ladders are there so i got up and took a couple of snaps

as you can see very much a work in progress! at the side of darth vader is a dormer thats as wide as the two ends so theres quite a bit of area to play with

I'm surprised you haven't been told to tidy that mess up Phil as the Family are coming round .
I'm so glad I have got an outhouse as a model room, I would be to lazy to go up and down to the loft all the time, i would either end up not building anything or just live up there .

Toss the inflatable beds in the loft with the kids.
You got modeling to do.
