This is my latest finished model-P-47D Thunderbolt.
I built it for the Down Low campaign. It's a Hobbyboss 1/72 scale kit. It's not the best one I've built because l rushed it at the end a bit.

On Armorama their is a campaign called Father and Son, well this is called Daddy and Daughter, as Dad did a P-47 for the Down Low campaign as well.

Very nice Courtney.

I'm building a Hobby Boss P-47 at the moment in Russian markings for my Eastern Front theme.

What did you use for the natural metal finish?

hi courtney! thats a nice model you've got there, and i think all of us rush to finish models from time to time. i built this same kit a couple of months ago in the other decal scheme to yours and its got pride of place on my shelf, i've become quite a fan of hobby boss kits, they're great fun to build and make a nice model as well.
keep up the good work!

Nice one Courtney
Good to see you showing your dad how its done!
The photo of the 1:48 and 1:72 together really shows the bulk of the Thunderbolt. Im going to have a try a 1:48 one myself I think.

Courtney - That is excellent. Keep up the good woork. You really are showing up you dad

Nige - if you really want to see the bulk of the Jugs in the latest MAI there is a review of the 1/32 Jug by Hasagawa and they have put it next to a 1/48 version. The difference is amazing.
