Well, it had to happen, Mal gets his way, and I will do an Aeroplane.

I will build the Revell 1/32 Lysander. Unless a cockpit update becomes available, it will be a OOB built, as the rest of the kit is not bad at all, and I can't see myself scratchbuilding a cockpit...

Good luck everybody...

I thought I give you all an update on my progress....

Good progress has been made with the box. I have opened the box, several times, and inspected the parts up close. All parts appear present and correct. Moulding and fit are typical Revell quality, being clean and adequate. Some of the detail is rather simplified, such as the cockpit and weapons (the machineguns are good only for the dustbin. I have seen more impressive weapons in 1/144 scale...).
Unlike the 1/35 scale AFV kit by Dragon, it is no problem to fit all the parts back in the box. Repeatedly..
Two figures are included, a driver..sorry, pilot , and a rear gunner. The figures are superb, with crisp sculpted detail, and very life-like animation. The tension on the driv... sorry, pilot's face is palpable, giving the impression of great action. (This last bit is not true, the figures are horrible )

yes, you guessed it, I have not made any progress at all yet. But I'm going to start on it soon... I hope...

Cheers
Henk

You could always put a couple of KT main guns where the machine guns live! It may also make you feel like your in home territory and would allow you to say its not an OOB buid.
