Hi Nigel,

It'll be a real pity if it vanishes, but I wouldn't be too surprised, it's not a particularly good floor polish, but it is good for modelling, maybe they should rebrand it as a gloss coat. So I guess it'll be a quick nip down to Wilco's for a supply.....

Disturbing news indeed, although I'm sure that modellers will find an alternative. What about the product that is about to be launched from that new company, "Miracle Paint Masks". I sent an email and asked Johnsons for the ingreediants so that I can produce "Klear" myself. I thought that it was worth a go but they will probable want a squillion quid for me to do so, worth a try though

I have a fairly full bottle, but will see if I can pick up another this weekend.

What will all the squaddies do now lol, lol. Excellent stuff for tapping your boots if you know how to apply it and you're a bit pushed for time. Got a 'Hightly Recommended Boots' from a Major General no less on my last Guards Depot Major Generals Inspection many years ago , if only he had known lol, lol.

Cheers

Well Sam and I got two bottles each "just in case" and maybe some more next week end. I do wish people would stop emailing SC Johnson though , they might suddenly realise how popular it is for modelling and increase the price for the remaining bottles that are out there I can see it now at Telford, secret under the table sales of Klear or "pushers" selling it like a drug

Andy the stuff does keep for a long while, I think I had a bottle for three years with no problems (except for running out of it)

They used to have 6 bottles on the shelf but they are stashed in my flightcases now!

People told me that doing Klear would make me feel good,,,but I can give it up anytime I want......................cant I?,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,cant I???

Wilkos in Doncaster now has no bottles of Klear. I took 10 off the shelf and asked if they had any more Might be a bit over the top buty I wont have any qualms about offering it in small bottles when the production stops. It might mean that the upsurge in sales make Johnsons think again I have enough to bathe in so I don't care

Andy.

Some of us don't have access to those sorts of chemicals, and have to by Klear, but no one's gonna get any from Dartford Wilkos in a hurry (cue maniacal laughter......)

I don't know quite why Johnsons said Klear was being sold only through Wilkinson's and Robert Dyas. I've seen it in my local Sainsbury's and have bought it from the rather wonderful Turtle's in Croydon. Look everywhere you can, I guess...

Hi Andy,
You can probably get this or something similar from most dedicated cleaning stores.

Like Klear, unfortunately Turtles won't be around much longer either . Sainsbury's still stock it at the moment and I swear I have seen it in Asda as well.

Remain calm! Here in sunny(for a change) California, I just got the 'NEW' Pledge with Future Floor coating.
It's the same as the old stuff.
Looks like the name' Pledge' just for market recognition/sales enhancement.
Same label,contents,directions,etc.

Now go gloss up everything on your shelf with your 9 literes of floor polish!

Just been to my local Asda, and they've got loads sitting on a shelf, (and it's still there...), no shortage as yet..............
