Hi Guys,

probably another one for Derek, but feel free to join in. I want to include a small team of radio operators/signalers and an Forward Observer Bombardment Officer, on my LCM 3. My questionn is really about dress and kit they would have carried. I'm thinking an RA officer, RN signaller and possibly one other. Some variety of troops is required and such a group were attatched to 48 RM Commando so would fit the scene fine.

Any thoughts or pics would help, also any info on any particular kit, radio type, signal flags etc.

Cheers

Al

Hi Derek,

Thanks a lot that was roughly my thinking. There was such a group attatched to 48 RM Commando and I think the mix of dress would help the layout in the LCM 3 I'm planning troops for, mayeb an O group in the rear of the boat.

See you tomorrow all being well.

Cheers

Hi derek,

Started work on the FOB and RN SIgnaller. As the tps on the LCM 3 are in Berets, I though I'd give the FOB an Officers Forage Cap rather than a helmet, although either would add variety.

Cheers

Hi Derek,

Yip, that's the one, they are a really nice set of radios. I used the No 19s in the 15cwt Wireless Truck and the other no 18 on this felllow:

I hope to get the remainder of the figures finished off this weekend as the second lot still need a bit of work. They take me a long time though lol, lol. The FOB is under construction, I'll give him a helmet in case I decide he'd make a better infantryman lol, lol.

Cheers

Al
