I'm working on part 5 of my Century series aircraft feature.
The project after that is the Tamiya 1/48th Beaufighter for the Twin Spinners campaign.

Hi Darren, They all in 1/72 mate???

Hi Jason.

Yes all 1/72 mate.

Here's one of them. It's the Esci/italeri M4A1 with bits from the Dragon and Extratech kits to bring it up to standard.

Why do I do this to myself lol

Seriously though, they are looking great, couldn't build in that scale and BTW things are better in 3s!!!!

My current build is a Canadian Deep Wading Universal Carrier Mk II for my LCM 3.

Daz

Good to see you are back at the bench. Hope all is Ok with you.

Having just finished 5 144 scale planes for Mark Sharpe campaign, i've moved on to the next challenge, 3 Beaufighters for the twin spinners campaign. Also trying to fit in a Greek hoplite, trying to learn figure painting, and a few more figures practicing for the use of!!!

Hi Allen,

Nice looking Buccaneer there, you've done a lot of excellent work to get it to that standard.

Well at the moment its good going if I get 2 hours a week at the bench the extra work and more training are taking their toll, the time I do have off I'm just so tied I can not face the bench.
The items on the bench that are moving are the TPz 1 'Fuchs', Marder 1A3, M1A1 Abrams with mine plough and a Chieftain Mk.2.
Campaigns falling by the wayside at the moment as must clear these off the bench first and a review for Keith to fit in as well
So next up will be something Italian

Ciao

hi paul, if you're coming back into the hobby, starting with a roden kit is'nt a bad way to go, i've built a few myself (but not the gladiator) and always found them to be very well detailed and fairly easy to put together, and if you have any problems or questions don't hesitate to post them up here, theres always somebody who can help you out - and welcome to the bulldogs!
now to other buisiness, i've been a bit quiet on the kit building front due to this-

having bought myself a flying scotsman train set at xmas, it just seemed to grow and grow, i now have another train set which is a digital freight one and in order to put motors on the points it had to be put on a board, a board that filled the space on the floor of the room where i do my building! so until it got to a stage where i could lift it up like it is in the pic i could'nt touch any modelling. of course now its at this stage, the real fun part can begin, and i can get stuck into the kits i have for platforms, signal box, a footbridge etc. which brings this back to "proper" modelling!

Well I have just finished these two figures.

The first is a Russian Civil War Bust and the other is a 1/48 figure of Douglas Bader.
