This is Courtney's Sailor Mars figure that I am building for her as its a vinyl kit and these things are dangerous. Courtney will be painting it once I get the thing together.
As with all vinyl kits I have built (all 3 ), nothing fits and everything has to be clamped into place. Which does beg the question "what idiot thought that vinyl would be a good medium" .
Anyhoo, here is a pic of the parts and the head/hair clamped together.
Andy

P.S I haven't a clue what Sailor Mars is about, other then its an Anime thing, so don't ask me .

You've got my sympathy too, i tried building a vinyl Darth Vader about 7/8 years ago, it was an absolute dog, I think it's still at my Mums house, collecting lots of dust (about all it's useful for)

Thanks guys. Unfortunately Courtney has a couple of these kits .
My part in this project is now over.
She is built, filled and sanded, and now I hand it over to Courtney .

Hi Andy,

What is dangerous about them?

They are made from a soft vinyl and have a lot of mould plugs attached. The parts bend as soon as you touch them, so cutting them is difficult. I broke a scalpel blade cutting one piece. The plugs can be rather awkward to remove and you inadvertently end up cutting towards yourself, which is not a good idea for a 10 year old girl to do, thus that's why I built it. Also you end up using copious amounts of superglue to fit them together.
