Well ive actually got a kit finished (its a build for the Mark Sharpe Campaign on Aeroscale) so thought i would post some pics of it completed. This kit has to be my all time greatest bargain. I bought it at the Newark model show about two years ago for 12. It is the Hasegawa 1/48 which comes with metal undercarriage, vinyl tyres and etched parts. The white on the decals had yellowed but Allen taped them in a zip seal bag to a window and they turned out fine. I added an Aries resin cockpit to it as well. It has been painted using Xtracolours and some suttle weathering was also added.

Beautifully built Sam, and such a cool colour scheme.
Nige showed me this kit the other day as he's thinking of getting one for the Phantom campaign, and it certainly looks the business.

Nige i prefered the look of the Aries set (it is due to be a feature in a mag at a later date once i get the write up done) however a lot of sanding is required between the cockpit floor and the front wheel well. There was a fair amount of but apart from that the kit went together really well.

Even with the resin cockpit i had to fill the nose with lead shot (its a good job it has a metal undercarriage as not all the boxings did). It fairly heavy even tapping the tail it wont lift.
