I've already suggested this campaign to the powers that be.... Single figure or vignette (max.4 figures) any scale, any period. However they all have to be Airborne troops....Hence the call-sign Pegasus for the campaign... All feedback invited...Jim

I'm in. I got a butt-load of 101st and 82nd abn figs I need to build... now should I do modern or WWII? Do Airborne qualifed troops count (i.e. US Rangers or SAS) ?
What kind of deadline are we looking at. I say late December sometime.

I've never started a campaign either. But special forces seem to be a good idea and perhaps should go into a sub category if we get enough participants, or lump 'em all together for the ease of it.
This should be pretty cool. As far as a deadline I see some of the proposed builds are already being scheduled for next spring, there seems to be a rash of campaigns at the moment. I'd say just pick a date and see what people say.
You may want to post this (or a similar post) in figures as well to give people a heads up...

Why don't we keep it simple. just figures no Wacos,no Ju-52s, no 1:35th C-17s, just figures...Agreed? #:-) Jim

Jeez Dave, you know us better than that..... let's just keep it nice and simple...no a/c, no gliders, just some figures..up to 4 figures, simple base (mixed nationalities if it has to be),even you Dave cannot put an ME109 in this...... Oh jeez, what did I just say.... #:-)

if we're talking special forces then,
Theres a certain unofficial saying that you should all know about (if you're a brit then you'll know it!)
it goes like this -

" WE ARE THE PILGRIMS, MASTER; WE SHALL GO ALWAYS A LITTLE FURTHER."

Dave:
You suggested A/C? How could that be, an exclusive armor builder like yourself.
Ok, I've got my subject, something off the beaten path....

If it has a single armor plate, or the one in it wear a flak vest, it's armored subject!

The Verlinden German figure fits hardcore. That's a pretty cool figure to start with.

I think that I would like to join this campaign, it would be my first one!

Maybe it should be "any soldiers that are air-landed", which would include; paras, rangers, special ops, air-mobile. maybe even the airforces "PJ's".

Myself, I have had a thing for the British Airborne Division ever since I saw "A bridge too far" when I was about 8 (my uncle and I watched it just about every Christmas after that, well that and Zulu!).

But hmm, I think a Port Stanley dio would be cool...

This sound like a lot of fun!
Chris :-)
