Hi everyone...
Been a while since I've posted. Sorry for being AWOL! But I've been busy...
Here's my interpretation of Dave Schilling's Hairless Joe, sporting a nat. metal left wing. In other words, "post prang.....pre re-paint"....sort of!

All comments welcomed. On to the pics and enjoy!

John

Hi John.
If this is the sort of thing you're going to come back with after going AWOL then please go AWOL more often!
Lovely job, and very well done for depicting "Hairless Joe" with the NMF wing.
I have no doubt there will be many who will pull you up on this as being incorrect, and it's going to be very satisfying for you to be able to turn round and say that yes, there IS a photo which backs up your research.

As someone who has researched this particular aircraft very thoroughly, both privately and in an open forum, its great to see that information published on this website has been used so effectively to produce a stunning model.

Very nicely done.

Nige, thank you VERY much for the kind words! Means a lot coming from you! Obviously, if it wasn't for this great "Jug Forum", I'd have never seen those pics of Hairless Joe.....and many others!
The model turned out pretty good. As always, I think it looks much better in person. One of these decades, I'll figure out how to take pictures that show color variance better!
Looks like I'll be AWOL for a while again. Of the 4 models currently on my bench, not a Jug in site.
Have no fear......I have over 30 of 'em in the stash and there's always one in the "mental works"!!

Thanks again!
John

John,

Neat idea on the NM wing, and nice detailing on the engine too. All around she's a nice model to look at.
