Hi guys,

What would the color of the wheelbay plumbing lines normaly be...YZC or metalic?...TIA!

Hi Dave.
A notoriously difficult area to see on period photos, and when you do get a look into there all you tend to see is a shadowy void with occasional highlights.
Looking at the assembly process logically, the wheel wells/wings had already been painted yzc before the plumbing was added and the finished wing mated to the fusalage further down the line. There were also a large number of spare wings manufactured and shipped out to the various Air Depots and indeed down to individual groups.

So I would expect that any plumbing within the wing would remain in its natural colour but thats just my own thoughts on it.
