Hello,

Could someone help me with examples of 1st-4th century Celtic tattoos?
I've been searching a lot but what I've found are mostly modern tattoos using Celtic patterns.

Thanks in advance!

I know there were some tattoo decals available from several manufacturers... Archer made some, but I think those were in larger scales. I don't remember other sources at the moment though.

Decals would be difficult to place on this figure since his hands are risen.
I also think that succesfully painting some bodyart on this fellow will give me much more satisfaction

As you know, celtic knot designs are used as tattoos and also for shields. This link has simple drawings that can help when painting knots.

Dux Homunculorum? The generally poor human beings?
Thanks again Engin - these may really help!
