What part of a kit do you NOT like?

i just wish that when you open the box, the kit would magically fly together in gold medal fashion to keep me from smashing it against the wall.

We all love modelling. No question about it. But what part of a kit or stage of modelling do you dread? What part of the whole kit do you wish was either pre-made or already completed?

Example: For myself. I dread any wheel painting. Don't ask me why. But I put off wheels until the bitter end. Especially when there are several, such as the recent Tamyia 6x6 Dodge I built. Ugh! 10 total tires/wheels.

It doesn't have to make sense to anyone else, but what part of a kit do you just not like?

Just realized that haven't answered "which part that I wish to be pre-made" question. For me, I really like to see some "Pre-Folded" PEs, maybe not the fenders, but periscopes, hinges, clasps, that should be nice, also I hope the tools can come just a tool, not with plastic clasps molded them on, it's a hassel to remove them.

So many cute armored vehicles, so little time...

Toni???........?
I thought we resolved the 'cute' military vehicles in the "Kubelwagen-for bucketheads" topic? No?

IŽm so sorry Yoda...Just couldnŽt resist I guess.
And after my Schwimmie disintegrated on me yesterday when I marvelled its beauty and drop it, I am about to discover the true nature of armored vehicles.

One more to my not-like list: Disintegrating kits.

Excellent answers! I was not expecting such a response!

Let me further increase my personal dislike list:

- Individual track links and the tiny, microscopic connecter between links
- An elaborate paint job on one propeller blade and then you realize you have 15 more to do
- Clear part painting (cockpit windows)
- White paint
- Parts the kit has you glue when it made more sense for the part to just be molded on

And just a general "DOH!"... running out of a self-made paint color with only one inch left to airbrush AND not remembering how I created the self-made color ! DOH !

Double that! I think we have a winner!
What could possibly be more irritating?

ROADWHEELS!!! I hate doing roadwheels. This is the most time consuming and boring part of a build other than individual track links. For me anyway. "Q"

I agree, I hate cutting and sanding all of those road wheels and then painting them all. I have found that a circle template works well for painting the rubber part of the road wheels but to me it is still a pain in the *%$@

..bad box art...

Ooooooh I thought I was dreaming when I saw the AER T-38 kit box (f)art!
It has a tank in it, climbing up from water and huge, dark-brown fat outline double lettering!!! How can anything in this world be so UGLY?
Generally I think nothing is so bad it would make it good but in this case...I had to buy it. It made my heart cry. Maybe IŽll frame it some day.
