Howdy,

Was wondering if anyone out there knew what the crew member names listed in the red box on Ole Cock II were? Can't seem to find anything on the internet or in my library of books.

Actually, it's "Ole Cock III" as in the pic.

Hi Brian,
At that time the crew chief of Ole Cock III was Ralph Safford, assisted by Felix Schaki. Armourer was Joey DiFrenza.
Same ground crew that looked after Gabreski's HV-A serviced HV-S when Don Smith was 61stFS C/O

Howdy,

Thanks for the info. Trying to replicate the crew panel in the red box and can't deduce what some of the writing is.

I have a close up somewhere, I'll try and dig it out.
If memory serves it has the aircraft name in there as well.

Howdy,

This is sort of what I've got right now. I have changed the middle initial for Mr. Safford to an "H", thanks to some info from Rex Driscoll. The "Cave Tonitrum was used as I can't decipher what the real one says.

Howdy,

Every now and then I think about trying to find someone who might be interested in my artwork for decals, but as of now, no one seems interested. I've got artwork done for a few P-47's from the 406th FG, some 56th FG, and some different P-51's.

Send me an e-mail and I'll send you the art work for this.

Nige: can you verify this?

Was this on the Winter version?
