I've been wondering if there is a way how to restore a scratched or damaged clear parts to make it crystal clear again. So i'm wondering if anyone has any idea how to make a clear part look good as new.

Interesting question. I've always assumed that you can sand down the clear part using a very fine abrasive/medium. I'm thinking that if the headlights of your car is hazy due to wear and age you can actually have it polished again and there are a lot of products that do this (3M has a kit last time I had it done). There are also DIY methods for re-polishing plastic.

Check youtube for headlight restoration. There is even a method that uses toothpaste.

Hello

There is a product called novus polishing compound I got the Novus Try-It pack from micromark a few years back.

I've used this to get scratch's out of a couple of aircraft canopies and I had a scratched watch crystal that I fixed by using this product. Takes a little work to use, but I've had good results.

Using buffing pads finest grit. Build up layers of Future, buffing between each layer. The pads also buff away sprue attachment points.
