To One and All,
After the Tamiya campaign build is completed, time to start on the Trumpeter build. For this I have chosen the 1/72 T-34 kit. Attached is the sprueshot, I forgot to take the picture before I dived in, but remembered to take a picture after I did the roadwheels. Oops!

So far the kit looks nice and should prove to be a good build. more to follow.

Thanks,
Stephen

So the beginning !

As there aren't any interior parts at all, I decide to close all hatch and doors except one for a figure in the turret.

I have only put a very light green color in the inside.

I have removed with sand paper tie down loops molded on the roof which have a very bad aspect. I plan to replace them with Arms Corps Models parts.

I prepare parts with armored glasses, those are glued on the back with "Micro kristal klear" glue. Glasses painted in clear blue.

I begin the built of wheels. DEF Model has not made all the rear of the wheels. You have to glue a Trumpeter part on the back. (A20) It's not really easy.

In progress

I replaced the M2 barrel with a Bronco Models part

Need to enlarge the openning of the roof and the bottom of the turret to be able to put a figure.

There are two different openning. Strange conception !

To One and All,
Here is the current state of progress on my 1/72 T34. I am also working on a HQ72 resin base for the tank. Comments are always welcome.

Thanks,
Stephen

I am building a M1 In one of its forms. The trumpeter gives 5 options, so not sure which one to go for. I am mostly tempted by the Panther II mine roller, but time will tell.

More to follow

Construction has started. I am leaving of the hidden top parts of the tracks as it is nice to have some extra track parts available for other builds.

There are so many cool parts available for a lot of different Abrams versions. So research has started. It turns out the versions in the kit are all taken from the Concord book. Nice to have real color plates and color photos available for the different options.

Need to decide before I continue the build. Any suggestions?

More to follow soon

Construction is almost finished. I have decided to do the M1A1HA in a European camo. I am making a Bradley for the Tamiya campaign and might do a simple diorama with the two as they are both iconic vehicles and will go good together.

Jesper nice and fast built. I'm interested about your method for the tracks and wheels. Are wheels glued on tracks ?

Thanks for the comment, Alex.

I place all the wheels in place without gluing them and then place the link and length tracks around the wheels gluing the tracks links to both wheels and other links. I think this will be a muddy build, so weathering and painting will be easier when I can remove all the wheels and tracks.

Hallo
This is my campaign entry: T-55 1/72. I'll sue an Armory turret, RB gun and ACE photo-etched tracks (just ordered)

I'll be entering with a recent kit,

The KV-7

Three guns, better than one?

Mostly same old KV kit, with new parts. Casemate parts, upper front plate, road wheels.

This is just one more of many KV's I've built, and it's going together smoothly. Only thing I've run into so far is that I had to cut the locating post on the upper front plate to get it to fit right on the hull. Another is that the instructions have you glue the lifting loops on the engine deck, but they're already molded on (solid). Well, got to skip gluing all those small parts and only had to drill out the solid loops.
