HI Everyone

Good Friday has been productive, invasion stripes painted on BT that I have been working on for sometime. This is one of those "in between projects" that most of us have!
Invasions stripes, although I feel they are more accurately markings unique to Free French aircraft as they had these well after D Day, actually late 1944, if anyone can shed more light on this please do. Either way, painting stripes invasion stripes gives me a headache! These turned out OK and only required a few minor touch ups.

White 71 is the subject for this build

Stripes are on!

And while I was at it I started a few P47 seats for future builds............

Looking good Darren, what gloss finish do you use?

HI Damian

I use Future, dilute with Tamiya acrylic thinner 20-30%.

I find you get less runs with thinned future, based on my own experiences over last 10 years suing future as gloss coat. I have a friend or 2 who can bring back bottles for me from US when the visit, one bottle lasts a few years, especially if thinned further like I do.

Might get to the decals over the weekend, which is one my favourite parts of modelling.

Thanks
Darren
