Wow, Ian! I had no idea the G6 were that big.

Nice progress. How is the quality of the kit?

Looking forward to see more.

The quality is pretty good. the detail is nice and it's a fairly straight forward build. no real issues so far. I'm not a big fan of the mitered joints though. be careful with the steering linkages they are meant to be workable. you melt the pins, but if you press a little too hard you can melt the 2 parts together then it won't work. like mine grrr.

My progress so far.
For one of the pictures I "borrowed" the gun from another project.
Will build another one for this campaign.

Making quick work of this little jewel. It's quite fiddly, especially the gun assembly and the carriage. Care must be taken when removing small parts from the sprue, but it looks like it will build up nicely.

First off, this kit is reminiscent of the old LifeLike kits - big seams, sink marks, HUGE sprue connection points...not what I was expecting.

Some parts (seats and frames especially) were quite fiddly. I expect the shield-to-gun-frame to be the same.

All in all, it did go together pretty well. The instructions are not really clear where some parts go...only because the pictures are dark.

Primed now with the main color I'll use, Vallejo Air Khaki Brown:

And a comparison shot of the 100mm next to the 155mm M198.

Paint tonight or tomorrow....

Got the paint sprayed today. It's going to represent the DAK. I'll wait a couple days for the paint to cure then I'll seal it add decals then start the weathering process.

I tried four times yesterday to upload these 3 pictures-showing my progress over long weekend. In vain...as the log shows.
Lucky for me-I have a brilliant IT, who did it for me...

Note: the gun is borrowed from another project.

Hey guys,

Lots of cool builds coming together here! Anyway, Ive started with my PLZ05:

Progress might be slow over the next few weeks as Ill be painting my T-72B for the Trumpeter campaign (I have no idea whatsoever how some of you manage to complete 15-20 campaigns a yeara goal to strive for, I guess .)

Cool kit, Brian. I did not even know that kit existed. It will be interesting to follow. I have never build one of the amusing hobby kits before.

Timothy, the weathering is coming along nicely.
