Hey Tim...Dave, all should be set now!

Reminder To all that entered and finished, due to a minor glitch, we are requesting that you stop by the Peal Harbor Campaign page and "reenlist" so that we can award you your ribbon for completing this campaign! Thank you!

Thanks Tim! I am trying to get the new image to "stick" now. There are no provisions to remove the old in the system...working on it!

Thanks Todd! I re-enlisted, no problem... but the award ribbon appears to be different; there is some unreadable text in black near the bottom of it which wasn't in the final agreed image. Is it the right version?

All Entrants Of This Campaign Please Read

Hey Dave,

I think I made a work around to what happened. I could not find the official campaign page either. I created a new one with the original start date and an ending date of the 10th (a couple days from now). Everything is set to make this happen, but there is no physical way for me to enter the names of the individuals that entered or at least the ones who finished it.

This is where the "Please Read" part comes in...if anyone here entered and finished the campaign, if you could please go to the official campaign page - https://modelshipwrights.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Campaigns&file=index&req=showcontent&id=942 and "Enlist" again, you will be awarded your medal for completing this campaign.

Dave....again, please let me know if there are any issues. If you happen to have the list of the 7 members that finished, we can PM or email them requesting them to just click the enlist button for us!

Thank you all for your patience and understanding!

Todd,

I can't find the Pearl Harbor campaign on the campaign page. Am I missing something?

Dave,

Give it another try! It seems the ribbon was missing. I added it, so it should allow you to award it now. If not, just let me know!

Hey everyone,

I sincerely apologize for my long absence over the past couple of months, as we all face at time life placed a significant obstacle in my path which was difficult to overcome.

that being said I too was unable to complete my build for this campaign.

I congradulate all 7 that completed the campaign and thank everyone who participated. You all made this a successful campaign and I couldn't have asked for more.

I will make sure that I award the ribbon to all those who completed.

thank you again for all your support and understanding.

Wow...some excellent work from everyone who entered the campaign! Congrats to all of those who completed the tour of duty! I unfortunately did not finish my effort for the completion date, but try and muster on to!

Huge thanks to everyone who participated!

some nice builds. i like the p-40 and shokaku carrier.
my build is done and flew off the shokaku on dec 7th but did not return. it was lost at sea from what i have been able to find out.
the pilot was f1c kunio iwatsuki and radio/gunner f1c tetsusaburo kumazo

fujimi kit. see my posts on the build but added cockpit detail, opened rear canopy, and paint was a mix of rlm 02 and aged concrete. kit decals went on pretty well but the tail code was wrong for this plane and i had to paint the spats markings. a mix of flat black and blue for the cowl and a wash of burnt umber overall. it was a fun build, thanks to the organizers for this campaign. on to the pto campaign-

Great tiny model there Tim. There is so much intricate detail there. As you said I don't see how a 10-year old could assemble it, but maybe we're wrong... ;-)
Well, it was nice being part of this campaign although I didn't finish it (it would've been my first campaign ever)...

Finished!

The Metal Earth company marketing patter says that their models “make ideal gifts for children ten years and older, teens, and even dads and moms!" – but I couldn’t see anyone but an experienced model builder having any fun assembling one of these unexpectedly complex, fiddly kits.

Still, I found it to be an enjoyable change of pace. And it was completed in time for December 7; I gave the model to my wife to bring to school for her 4th Grade class as they learn about that awful day.

Linus,

I like your P-40. It is an attractive, neat and clean build of that classic aircraft.

Rade,

Even though you won't make the deadline, your Shokaku is looking good! It brings back memories - I built the Fujimi Zuikaku (apparently exactly the same plastic in a different box) waaaay back in the 1970s. It was my first carrier model, and I had a ball filling the deck with Zeros, Kates, and Vals - all painted by brush!
