Here is my Tamiya M4A1 Sherman, started while I was at the US Embassy Baghdad in 2012/13. I have used the latest copy of Steel Masters as proof of "life". I got the issue today 11 Feb 2017
Looking forward to finishing it.

I am having problems posting photos, any help out there?

Steve

Panther A wheels, the hell that never ends..

That's looking pretty good. How did you the chipped paint effect?

Thanks, it is quite a mush mash of effects at this point. Some wheels have filters, Mig Brown for Dk yellow, some have a Mig/Ammo wash I forget which, but a darker brown/grey, and some have light earth pigments..
Modeling attention issues, I've got them!

the chips though are all the same. Vallejo Iraqi sand stippled on with a bit of sponge or green scrubbing pad and then SS Cammo black brown added over and around them with a green scrub pad and fine brush.

I'm in with this Leopard 1A5NO2. It has been a shelf queen for nearly eight years no so I guess it is time to finish it.

I forgot to post this one. This is how many sinkholes there were inside the cargo bed sides... All sanded back and painted now as seen above. They shuldn't be visible when the cargoes in but didn't want to chance it.

made some decent progress over the weekend. Wheels are back on and have given it an overally dark yellow paint job. I've done a bit of weathering in the cargo box but left the outside for now as there's no point in doing it till I've airbushed it. I'm building one for the 150- Campaign so it makes sense to do both at the same time as they're both going in the same dio from the same unit so I want continuity in colours and style. Plus it makes it easier airbrushing a couple of things at the same time.

Thank you Gary,
I'm in. I have at least a decade's worth of unbuilt kits, no shortage of material here.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

This will be my first entry as I've found a few others that need finishing off. I'm currently building an Opel Blitz for the Campaign 150. It's destined for a dio and my plan is to have it loaded up with fuel drums (being unloaded) next to a couple of panzers (not decided what yet). I need a second lorry carrying ammo for the panzers. While I was debating where to get the second Blitz from I remembered I'd got a couple of scrappers in the cupboard so I've cannibalised them to make one good one like I did with the Panthers last year. This is what it looks like at the moment.

A front wheel and a back wheel have snapped at the axle so they'll need fixing and the boards that make up the cargo box are full of sinkholes so they'll need filling and that's at the start. Hopefully this will work out okay.

When I dug through my stash for Hanger Queen 7, I found 24 started but unfinished aircraft builds. I also found 4 unfinished armor kits. I outta enter one here and see if I can finally finish one of them...

I'd be up for this too, I have loads and loads of half built what many would call shelf queens, but mine are stacked up on the floor, so I have loads of floor queens....

I am in with this

It is sitting in the shelf for a long time because I had to calm my nerves.
Now I give it a second chance.
Does anyone have a suggestion from which color manufacturer should I take the deep bronze green?

Happy modelling

I have enough trouble finishing them just 'out of the box'. That would be tempting Fate.

Gary, Are you going to do the ball and chain armor under the turret basket?
It's a time consuming process to stratch, but looks great when done.
I did one years ago with model RR chain, fine strand wire and the craft beads (but the ball chain metal balls would have better I found).

Good luck
Mike

I have a stack of unfinished kits in various scales, mostly 1/35 but a couple of 1/9, and 1/48. I have been using campaigns as motivation to get a few kits finished lately so, depending on timelines, I could be in on this I think.

Well 2016 was an absolute disaster for me - didn't finish anything , started a number of projects (serial project starter ) but couldn't keep the interest going right through. So I'll have a shuffle around in the projects bins and see what is most deserving of completion.
On the upside - I have resisted starting anything this year .
