Or maybe a not-quite-old guy who doesn't want to admit that he played too hard in the early years.

Spent ten years on active duty with the U.S. Army (101st ABN as 11C1P, 173d ABN BDE as 91B1P, 1st AD as 91B1P --> 91W1P --> 68W1P --> 68W2P), went to fun and exciting places, met new and interesting people, and . . . did stuff.

ETS'd in 2006 and started back to school (all the while thinking the 18 year old kids in class were far dumber than the 18 year old Privates I'd been leading just months prior) for an associates degree. Took a short break from that to spend a few months again in an interesting place . . . doing stuff as a convoy escort contractor. Went back to school, still thought the kids were dumb, but finished the AS, went on to a BA, and now working on a JD.

Also a reserve cop (not the stereotypical unarmed slob with an embroidered badge, but the kind that is indistinguishable from "real" cops who do it every day for pay- I just don't get paid) and a dad. And a husband. And an instructor. And a retail guy.
And . . . other stuff that keeps me busy.

Getting back into scale modeling after a hiatus of something like 15-20 years, and finding that all the supplies that my parents boxed up and put into storage are dried up and useless, so I have to start over.

Mainly interested in 1/35 Military (WWII-present day), but enjoy piston aircraft and 1/350 naval as well.
