So I've been using Xuron products for a long, long time. I trust them, and can typically justify dropping $20 on a new set when they wear out. I've yet to jump into the God Hand-end of the pool, but it's on my X-mas list.

That begin said, I bought a set of cheap side cutters from China off of eBay for $2.02. Delivered. I thought for that price, if it sucks I'll just cut wire with it. Turns out, I don't think I'll be buying any more Xuron nippers.

These give great results, you can clip right down to the part and get a nice clean cut, with no pinching. Every bit as good as my Micro Shears that I paid $19 for. Seeing as I can buy NINE pair of these for the same price as a pair of Xurons and all...

Here's the ad I ordered from. Took about 2 1/2 weeks for them to arrive. Seller's name is "ming.j4".

And the set that arrived--I've been using them all week.

mine showed up last night. Tried them out really quick and I'm really impressed for the price. They perform just like the pair of Xuron ones I have. I wish they opened a touch wider though, but that's an easy fix with my Dremel, and grinding out the little stop they have.

The three I ordered showed up today and they are a lot better quality than I expected. The jaws meet very precisely. I've bought nippers for 10-15 times the money and gotten less quality.
I wonder how it comes that they can sell them so cheap?
Some kind of cosmetic fault? Wrong text or text printed incorrectly? One of mine had the word 'Plato' on the handle smeared ...

I went the other direction and regretted it, by that I mean I first bought cheap nippers from electrical supply stores and liked them, and then figured I would splurge for the Xuron nippers. I was disappointed with the Xuron nippers, the cutting edges didn’t line up as well. I felt I had wasted my money and went back to cheap nippers from the electrical store.
