Thanks Mark, Rory, Russ.

It was nice to get the main armament built, sometimes you just need to leave the dull bits and do the exciting bits.

Cheers

Si,

She is really taking shape, won't belong before launching. Turrets looking fine.

Thanks Mark,

It is nice to the big guns in place, but there is still quite a long way go.

Didn't get any further today, got side-tracked by a little flower, must be the unseasonal sunshine.

Cheers

Wow Si, your Warspite has progressed quite a bit since I checked last time...

Fantastic work, she's really looking like the Grand Old Lady already! Yes, having the big guns in place always improves the look remarkably!!

Cheers,
Jan

Thanks Jan,

She is coming along, but still much to do. She does look like a battleship now.

Always appreciate you looking in, and you kind comments.

Cheers

Thanks Russ,

The brass barrels and the very nice resin blast bags are a real improvement over the kit parts.

Paint on the main armament.

Glad to see you didn't make the same mistake I made which was following the kit painting instructions which have you paint the top of the lighter grey turrets in dark grey

Hi Si,

What books are you using for a reference on this one? The Kagero 3D book is only for the 1914-1919 version for Warspite.

Thanks and the ship is looking great!

Hi Mike,

Thanks for looking in, and your kind comment. The main references I am using are "The Anatomy of a Ship" on the Warspite, and the "Top Drawings" books, both cover the Grand Old lady mainly her WW2 fit.

The AOTS might be tricky to get hold of, top drawings should be around.

Hope that helps

Cheers

Some progress Yesterday.

The last seven 20mm tubs fitted out and painted.

The last two boats done. Etched oars were sourced from an old fret.

Boats and tubs around the break of the fo'c's'le deck level.

Tubs in place aft, and details painted.

More ladders around the pompom deck.

More soon cheers

Si
