Not to steal any thunder from this outstandingly magnificent model but just as an F.Y.I. - someone is offering a digitally printed V-2 motor in 1/35th over on the Shapeways website. Again just sharing information.

Oh yes, so far I have purchased sets of 1/35 spiral car horns to improve under-the-hood vehicle detailing, several SINCGARD radios for my HEMTT cabs and container corner blocks for building my own specialized freight containers.

Currently I am eying a container handling unit (CHU) - my largest purchase so far - to work with my HEMTT LHS vehicles.

The biggest problem with Shapeways is their horrible search engine! It is extremely difficult to search AND FIND a particular item you might be looking for. Often you end up looking through hundreds, if not thousands, of items trying to find the one you are looking for even if you put in the exactly correct title for the item you are looking for.

Hello friend, tell me how is the finishing of the pieces? The surface is rough or thin. You have to go over the pieces a lot? Are there burrs on the edges? I'm sorry for so many questions, but if the finish is good it could be bought. I usually work the scratch a lot and I love it.

The pieces have a nice "tooth" to their surface. Sort of like smooth parts that have had a coat of fine primer. The parts take paint as well as weathering powders and washes easily.

In armor modeling I am not looking for a mirror surface so these parts seem perfect to me.

Given the way they are manufactured, this guarantees no flash, no warpage and no ejector pin marks. The only sanding required seems to be to smooth the attachment point or the gates where the piece might have attached to a larger sprue.

p.s. I even have one digitally printed, 1 to 1 scale part that replaces a broken cup holder in my pickup truck.
