Just a query, Wiki has failed me (Of course I don't interpret the individual subsystem names which may provide the answer)

Does the BTR-80A have a stabilised 30mm gun for firing on the move?

Cheers

Look like the 30mm gun of the BTR-80A is not stabilized :

Thanks, I'll make an assumption that 80A has the same.
Had seen that website but when it wasn't 80A I didn't read on.

Did a bit more digging and it seems the BPPU turret fitted to BTR-80A is unstabilised while that fitted to BTR-82 is, or so it would seem.

Thanks all, its good to see that it wasnt an obvious answer and that I was blind or incompetant. You automatically thin anything post 90's is automatically stabbed, but also learnt that Warrior for example wasnt in early days.
I'll go with unstab for 80A, stab 82A.
Thanks for replies, saved me in nick of time.

Now you have me very curious Scott. If you dont mind me asking, how are you modeling the stabilization or lack thereof?
My first thought was that you were thinking of portraying a vehicle shooting on the move, but...

Hi gents,

Are there any external differences between the BTR80A and the BTR82A ? If any, which are these ?

Wanna know if Trumpeter BTR80A could be easily converted to a BTR82A as seen in the ukraine conflict (2015).
