ok, so for clarification: Revell Germany belongs to Hobbico? That is new to me. Here in germany Revell sells good. Dont get what would be wrong here with Revell.
One thing to note here, there are two Revell companies. There is a Revell Germany and Revell USA, they are both seperate companies.
Hobbico owns both of them. They work together and release each others' kits a lot. Revell-Monogram does a lot of the distribution of Revell of Germany in the USA. Revell of Germany is in fact in charge of molding a lot of the kits for Revell-Monogram. If you see a Revell-Monogram kit that is molded in Poland-- that's a plant run by Revell Germany. They share a lot like sisters.
And it's not really Revell USA, it's Revell-Monogram.
Since Round 2 practically owns every other US model label (Lindberg, AMT, MPC) maybe they'll buy Revell-Monogram.
That might be the only way we'd ever see the Revell M56 Scorpion or Monogram Weasel ever again or maybe some of the other Aurora molds that Monogram owned that have never seen the light of day (1/600 scale ships, 1/48 armor) yeah, some of us are into vintage kits.
I would build the ancient Aurora 1/48 Panther A/G hybrid just like I'm doing all the re-issued Monogram armor.
