STAND BOLD Campaign - “Stand Bold” against the enemy! Prehistory to today and through your imagination . . . your favorite Movie Scene, or Myth, or that point in that battle or History that stirs your soul or the legend Grandpa told you late at night about the fire. Feeling the need to be reminded of the heroic in a weary world.

Enlist Here!!

ALL Right Folks We are up and running ...

Start dropping Ideas and Pictures here! I will have award badge up soon.

Signed up and will get pic's up soon I hope. Will do Miniarts 1/16th
Spartan Hoplite figure. I know about the fit problems with the arms and legs from my first attempted to build one but, am confident that Mister Surfacer will do the trick. Trying to finish up repairs and what is on the bench and will start him shortly.

the idea for an original sculpt figures. 1/16-1/9 . . . thinking (eyes just don't handle the 54mm or smaller as well) have not decided era or clothing/gear yet.

Burnt and battered down an oaken door, with a child's doll lying in the threshold, bloodied, and beaten Figure defending . . . Blooded, but Unbowed!

Will have to change my build. I opened the kit box and discovered that the figure had been started. Have a white metal medieval knight or I'll do Dragons S.F. Vietnam at the S.F. camp A Sau which was over run in 66. Or some thing else, you know how it goes.

in the Beginning . . . aluminum wire for the Armature. Thinking 1/9 to make it stand out, but not be overly large.

we could make this an all Miniart campaign. I have their English Knight. But with all these armored figures someone should do something Napoleonic.
Looking through the stash.

Howdy Y'all
I'll be building one of these for the campaign, might do both if I have time. I'm leaning to the WW II figure. I bought these at a swap meet, there was only one figure in the WW II box so I picked it up for a song.

Of course the Vietnam War figure doesn't look bad either. I hope the green stuff is paint and not mold-we'll find out.

Take care,
Don "Lakota"

@Lakota

That one with the shotgun looks more Vietnam era but ether way cant beat the price on those figs. nice find.

While I'm not going to be working on this for the campaign i thought i'd post a recent acquisition, as I think she would qualify for Standing Boldly or at the very least Standing Coldly

I'm going with a 54mm Squadron figure I picked up at a convention. I'm painting a lot of wargame minis and this gives me a nice break.

I've started a sculpt of a US Marine 1/16th scale from about 1776-1778. I'm doing it for my grandson's desk. He's Sgt. in the corps. Will post when it looks more like a figure and not the plastic from an old HP printer.

I have made a start by block undercoating the bust.
Further coats of acrylics and inks will follow
to build the colour, shadows and highlights.

well I'm still waiting for my figure, but found out they should get it around the first of march and then ship it out so maybe the week after that I'll be able to start.
Have to say though not to impressed with Squadrons special order service. No contact from them until I contacted them about the status of my order. One would think they would keep you in the loop if your special order was going to take longer then their stated 2-3 weeks.

Got some work done but man they were not kidding when they said the fit was bad. The legs had the most issues but I think it should turn out ok with some filling and sanding though some of those small areas are probably going to have me

for anyone whos done one of these kits before would you say its easier to paint it in 3 parts, head, torso, legs then assemble or assemble the figure and then paint the whole thing?
