A few simple tips on photographing figures using a temporary "set".
Download some interesting or relevant wallpaper images (free ones!). Display them on your computer screen and build your stage, or "set" in front of it. If you're using lights, position them to avoid glare and reflections on the computer screen. Also take care that the cursor or arrow is not visible in the image. A tripod, or similar, will be useful for long exposure times due to the necessary great depth of field (f 30 or greater) to get the subject and background in focus.
Twigs and dried foliage can be used as "dingleberries" for foreground scenery.
