*watch out, first post*

This site is great, I have recently got back into 1/35 scale modelling after a break of a few years and its definately helped refresh my rusty memory.

Thanks a lot!

I recall the same thing happened to me.
Welcome aboard Mkultra! Keep those post coming.

mkultra - Welcome to the site

I am far from home but yet I feel at home being here. I guess this site has kind of been my home-away-from-home lately!

Well we are about 45 miles short of Colorado, in Kansas. Tomorrow should be a beautiful drive by the Rockies and over them through Wyoming and into Utah. Hopefully we will make it as far as Salt Lake City tomorrow night.

I am not getting much time for updates or the like. Lucky to keep up with mail and post a message here. So anyone who is waiting on articles or images getting published please be yet patient.

We listened to the 13 hr BBC Lord of the Rings radio adaptation on the way here (on 13 CDs). It was a good way to pass the time.

Cheers from Kansas,
Jim

I really like the national flag option...it is informative...I'm seeing flags that I'm not familiar with for the first time. Who knows, after seeing them and associating the flags with fellow Armorama members, I may have them memorized.

Welcome mkultra and you too Nailz!

What I like here is the friendly athmosphere and the attitude to this hobby.
No jealousy, no flaming, just constructive critic, LOTS of info, immidiate solution to almost any problem...
And it feels like home. A kind of place where you can be yourself and share your opinions and arguments without fear.
We come from all around the world and most of the themes we are dealing with are war related. It´s wonderful how conversations go on and on without any negative thoughts, racism or over-patriotism. Just goes to prove that at least a small group of people have a sort of "intellectual" approach to things and I like it.

This may be a virtual community but it´s the same air we are breathing...

And this is for Jim:

Here, you can discuss many matters (if you post your thread in the right forum, of course).
It can get a bit heated sometimes, but always stays very friendly. Here I've been able to discuss modelism, history,
and soccer !
Thanks to this place, I've begun to learn a lot about armour. I've also opened my eyes to many new
techniques. Thanks to that "sharing" part, I even enjoy my models more !!!
