Recent posting lifted from the 2019 Trumpeter Catalog:

I think this is going to be a MUST HAVE for me. Very happy with the look of that trailer and it will give me a chance to sink me teeth (not to mention my wallet) into Trumpeter's new HEMTT. Something I have so far avoided up till now. **

** After building two of the Italeri HEMTT's I needed a rest but this new LET from Trumpeter will get me going again on HEMTT's!

Vert nice. It looks to be pretty close to an M983A2 LET. The rear work platform and winch look correct. It is still missing the side ladder/steps and I can't tell if it has the roller at the rear of the chassis. They would be easy enough to scratch up though.

Agreed, what is there looks great so far.

Let's hope the trailer wheels fit better than that on the kit..I'm reminded of the horrible fit of the meng ones on the C-het trailer..

The 870 trailer ALONE would be a great idea.... its a simple and supercommon piece of equipment that can go with the LET, and you can put ANYTHING you want on top of it. If the D-7 is a kit, it would be a great realistic addition to the damn small engineer fleet of vehicles available. The D-9 is a monster, not often used for common engineer missions, and add the D-7 with an IHMEE and a dump body for the FMTV, you got a damn cool route sanitation package !
( the flamethrower trailer would be sweet addition )

I concur with Gino in that I hope they include the M983A2 LET parts as well. It would seem foolish not to.

I do not see any reason to include the bulldozer in the kit. (Unless there is a substantial discount for buying them as a unit.)

You want the dozer as a load then go buy the dozer.

I hope we hear more ASAP!

Understood, but the advantage of having the dozer is that there is no modern D 7 available. I seriously doubt the kit will include a D 7 tho. Just a LET will be great!

Maybe some of us want different construction equipment as our load - maybe.

LET us all join together in prayer to the gods of Styrene
and beg them that the new kit will not be a LET-down.

If they do a tractor, trailer and sizer kit.. I hope they at least sell the tractor separately.

They already sell the standard M983A2 tractor as a separate kit.

Hopefully, if they do a proper M983A2 LET, it will be available separately as well.

Trumpeter is notorious for making "wrong" boxarts. None of there FMTV kit contains a cargo bed canvas. As much as I hope for a D7 Dozer, I hardly believe it. I hope for a good M983A2 LET.

Hopefully they provide the right parts to make an M983A2 LET (Light Equipment Transporter) which is the version that the Engineer Units use to pull the M870 trailer. It has a winch in place of the spare on the rear work platform, a roller at the rear of the chassis, and a few other small changes.

M983A2 LET

I hope we will find out once they start releasing images showing the top of the tractor ...

I'm considering just having my paycheck electronically deposited in Trumpeter's account. It would speed things up.

On their FB site, people were asking if the bulldozer came with the kit. That would be great in my book, but I think that would take the kit out of the $130 - $160 range, which seems to be the niche with their tractor/trailer kits. Or could they surprise me?

I'll probably have to get it, either way.

Is it mean M983A2 + M870 + D7 in one box ? Or just M983 + M870.

It is only a teasing image on their Facebook page.
"Just another member in our HEMTT line. Coming soon! To be continued......"

They haven't been afraid of large kits with many parts before so maybe it is a complete set ...
