Beautiful display, Joel! You have crossed the finishing line in style - I really like the overall looks of the build. Just great. I'll see you next in the Porsche campaign I guess?

Keep inspiring us!

Gabriel

Gabriel,
Not so sure about in grand style, but I made it. Each build especially the gloss paint job is a new experience for me, and so completely different then the nearly 40 years (on & off) of military modeling, including even a few years in the world of Armor (specialization of Sherman's no less).

But as I've alluded to every once in a while, I grew up a race car enthusiast, not a aircraft or military one. That honor belongs to my twin brother whose always had his head in the clouds. So race and classic car modeling is really special to me. I still have that contact which bridges from model to the real deal. And that's my Mojo driver for sure.

The Porsche GB is where I'm headed next. Should be fun. I would have loved to build my favorite Porsche, the little nimble 908/3 but there isn't a injected molded kit that I know of.

And thank you my friend for staying the course of my build, and helping me over those many humps and valleys.

Joel

The car is a real beauty and you justice her in
a top notch way of craftmanship, artistic feeling, patience and
finally fondness.

Cudos for that fine work and great finish.

Rowan,
but you're a fantastic modeler. Watch a few Vids on painting, and you'll be a pro.

Hi Joel

You tempted me to fly over from Aeroscale and take a look. I'm so pleased I did. Wow, what a beautiful looking model you've built, and the finish is a joy. I hope you are justly proud. And, making your own decals too. Hats off to you Mr W, it's a job very well done, and a lovely blog too.

Now, I'm rummaging about in my stash looking for something shiny so I can try your techniques. Hmmm. Yamaha M1 MototGP bike maybe? BUT only after I finish the Starfighter, or I might never finish.

Beautiful job on construction and painting, and thanks for sharing the journey too.

Have a great day,

Steve.

Steve,
Thank you my friend for taking the time to check out my newest modeling love: Classic Road Racing Cars. I can assure you that the modeling part of the build is just like aircraft, but the painting is a whole new world.

It certainly would be something if your next build was a motorcycle.
