I decided to elaborate on my earlier post as it seemed rather shallow hobby wise.

My hobbies?
1. this site
2. this site
3. this site...etc. etc.

Just kidding. Well I did finally purchase some new paints and brushes so I can get back into modeling when I can find a spare moment. I am going to work on my 1:35 figure assembly and painting skills. After reading Engin's Afghan article I may even try a little customizing!

I was a computer game addict from the moment I saw Ultima on a Apple IIe. I don't get to play much lately (hmmm....) but I recently got Civ3 and Armada2. Both great games. I also enjoy reading fantasy (Eddings, Jordan, Tokien, Mary Stewart) and movies (my high this year being FOTR). I am also a huge SW fan and collector. I hate to rain on Yodaman's parade but he may have a hard time every unseating me as this sites SW geek. I also have been getting into photography lately. Of course by biggest hobby lately is spending time with my daughter, who will turn 2 at the end of April.

Besides modeling, there's nothing like a walk in the park, chasing a little dimpled ball. I'm not very good, but I have a great time. And, like most here, I love to read history. For grins, I'll kick back with some good Sci-Fi.

What rifles do you shoot? I used to do that with a M1903a3 and an M-1 Garand(hence my callsign)

I also love to target practice. Hubby has a M1 Garand and M1 Carbine, among the rest of the collection. I like shooting my 9X18 Makorav, M14 Polytech, and .357 mag. We both are gun collectors.

Golf, soccer and soccer refereeing, cooking. RPGs (the old paper and dice kind. You know, brave deeds and heroes, villians and monsters, the quest for good...etc.), reading (fantasy, SF, non-fiction military, among others!). Shooting and hunting. Did I mention two sons and a daughter? Oh, and that pesky part-time (hah!!) job in the Army Reserve.

OK, I'm tired now just from reading the list!

Try to play hockey, play board and computer games (any kind), movies (any kind), read lots of fiction and non fiction and have an Australian cattle dog and a wife that keep me busy!

Though classifying my wife as a hobby may get me in trouble!

Hey Penny, the new Raven haired look suits you. I like the look...a little studious, but still alluring.

My other hobbies...or, how our disposable income vanishes. I am an avid reader of military history, with a library that grows almost daily, it seems. I have been a wargamer for nearly thirty years--not this video junk, the classic maps and cardboard counters type. The game collection is pretty substantial after all this time. I also have a particular addiction to cars, shared with my wife. We are active members of Oregon Region SCCA Solo 2 and the Mercedes-Benz Club of America. We regularly autocross our 2000 C230 Kompressor sedan. Really stuns people to see an M-B dance through the cones as fast as ours does. Been to the CART race in Portland a few times, and always attend the Historic Races with the Mercedes Club. And being denizens of the Northwest, we are also much enamored of our many local wineries and do our best to keep their inventory depleted and our cellar full. "Real wine is red; real cars are German." :-)
