Another purchase from Hinkley.
This is the Queen Mary from the Airfix RAF Recovery set and will be my entry for the "Move It Again" campaign. Its the first time I've built anything without wings since restarting modelling but at least its RAF!

Almost finished.
Far too many wheels for my liking,,fair play to the armour guys for managing with all those roadwheels and Im not even going to think about tracklinks
Just given it a black watercolour wash and all thats left to do is a couple of decals, bit of detail painting and drybrushing before a matt varnish to seal it all in.

All finished.
This is my entry to the "Move It Again" campaign. My first non aviation model! Thanks for the nudge Andy.
A quick build and a lot of fun.

And just to put it in historical context, heres a pic of a real one with a crashlanded Tempest on its way to the workshops.

Nice Nige. Have i got you started on non wingy thingy's now :-) :-) .
Just one thing i noticed, which don't detrack from a good build, is I think a bit of weathering would bring a bit more life to it.
Will this be going in a dio at some point ?
Here is my entry in this campaign, an Academy 1/72 German T- Stoff tanker., which will be going in a dio with a BF 109, at some time in the future .
