I knew joing IPMS would give me this wierd disease. I have justed managed to get hold of Airfix's TSR-2 and now i have just ordered Pavla's new Martin Baker ejection seats to go with it and while I was looking at the Hannants website I found the Special Hobby Sea Hornet reduced to £11 so bought that too. What are you guys doing to me!! Must fight the urge and go home and paint some a a figure before it is too late

Ross

P.S. Note I am very sarcastic i know so please do not take offence

Mal - Like most modellers i started off with Airfix a few years back so it will be a fun to do some aircraft. As to the light side i not sure about that one :-)

Have you built any Special Hobby kits? They look good and the few reviews i have read make them sound ok.

Yes, I started out building Airfix kits, back when they were bringing out new kits every week/month and hanging up in Woolies via card headers. My brothers and I had practically the whole catalogue between us. I could by a 1/72 fighter on Saturday morning and it would join the dog fight on the ceiling, painted and decalled, before bedtime. How times change

I have the Special Hobby Barracuda and it seems like a very nice kit.

OK, welcome to the dark side then :-)

Hi Ross.
welcome indeed to the dark side! :-)
I built the Special Hobby spitfire MK X recently.
It was a fun and challenging build but as long as you take your time and dry fit everything you should be ok.
Heres a link to the review.

Ive also got the Fairey Firefly in my stash and that looks a really good kit!
Hope this helps.
