Hi all.
This will be the official thread for our "Grand Day Out 2006".
Sunday August 20th 2006 IWM DUXFORD
The idea behind this day out is to give everyone a chance to have a day out and meet up with fellow members.Usually we only meet up at Model shows and either A; everyones busy and B; SWMBO and the kids dont really fancy the idea of being dragged around a show by a bloke drooling over panel line washes and zimmerit finishes.
So heres an oportunity to have a family day out, bring a picnic and put faces to names.Oh yeah,,and to drool over AFV's and your favourite planes.
Duxford should have something for everyone,,(apart from ships Im afraid) and is pretty central and easy to reach by road and public transport.(anybody flying in by light aircraft will immediately be branded a smartar*e and have to buy everyone a round!
I suggest we meet at the entrance to the excellent USAAF Museum section at 2PM

So dust of the picnic basket and lets have a fabulous day out!

The tribe and myself will be there.
I'll be easy to spot as all you have to look out for is a bloke being harrasssed by 3 bored girls :-)8 :-)8 :-)8 :-) .

Great stuff Nige, of course I'm up for this but funds are tight and at the moment I'm struggling to have enough for food and accomodation at Telford. I do plan on going and I will be staying at my Bro's in Huntingdon. But I must make sure that I can stay over at Telford
