My latest Work in Progress for Allen and Sam's campaign over on Aeroscale.

It's the Revell 1:144 scale F-14A Black Tomcat.

It's a great model. i have a second kit in the stash to make the alternate decaled version, not up to Luciano's level yet - think he has plans to model every one owned by the US Navy

Nice one Andy. Don't worry with a few more under your belt you wont want to go back.
Another 1/144 convert.

I'm up to 18 F-14's, 1 built, 2 building and 15 awaiting space on the work bench, but I've hit one of those modeller blocks.
So as the saying goes a change is as good as a rest, I'm now building a Freightliner FLD120 1/24 truck

Ciao
Luciano

I've got another F-14, 2 F4E's and a Catalina in 144 to build. I'm not a convert, but i like a dabble.

And they are easy to store.

Hi Andy
Lovely build mate. My favourite aircraft and you have done her justice. I hope to see in the flesh so to speak soon.

Hi Mal mate.
Being a Tomcat nut I have 12 Tomcat's to build, which won't be built just yet, as I'm working on some British armoure subjects at the moment, for our theme at SMW in November!

Coming on nicely there Andy you've really done this Tomcat fan proud, I suppose I could nick Mal's saying and adapt it... Oh what the hell "You can never have enough Tomcats" (sorry Mal) I have plenty of cats in my stash only problem is finding the time and space to build them. If 1/32 is your thing Mal, Tamiya do a very nice Tomcat in that scale.

Nice little Tomcat Andy

Mal, Allen's right, the Tamiya 1/32 Tomcat is still the top dog out there (but extremely expensive)...The Revell version is still fun and cheap (I got mine for less than a tenner at Duxford on one of those 'pile 'em high, sell 'um cheap' used kit stalls), and it would still look just as impressive in black!

Cheers

Derek

Thanks Derek, but I am dithering with my 190D-9 (I am progressing though, posting later in the week) so something like a Tomcat would not get done. Well not this year anyway. However, if I were to ditch 1/48 in favour of 1/32 the "new start" might mean that I take another look at modern stuff
