In the Museum's Own Words
The British Columbia Aviation Museum Society is dedicated to preserving aircraft and artefacts. We collect, restore and display aircraft and artefacts related to the history of aviation in Canada, with emphasis on British Columbia aviation history.

Museum activities include aircraft restoration to static or airworthy status, construction of engine displays, aircraft modeling, artefact maintenance, archive maintenance (aviation books, pictures and videos), and creation of memorials to aviation and the people who made it happen. We have plans to expand the museum by adding more space, and naturally adding more displays.
The Collection
The museum's collection includes airworthy aircraft, static aircraft and replicas, along with thousands of pieces of memorabilia on display and in their archives. Detailed information on the museum's collection may be found on their website.

While the museum is rich in artifacts, they are not rich in display space. The buildings are small, resulting in a very cramped display, with wings overlapping fuselages. This makes for an intimate viewing experience, but renders photography difficult.

No visit to the museum is complete without the volunteers. I'd like to include a special thank you to Bill, the volunteer who took us through the collection and even into the restoration shop behind the scenes.
