Although the American "Wild West" has never been of an historical interest to me, it's what the West inspires that has always appealed to me. It's the idea of new frontiers, a hostile land, high adventure...
Verlinden, Letterman & Stok Inc. (VLS) have recently launched their new subsidiary/range Streets of Laredo which, quite successfully I might add, seeks to recreate the spirit of the Wild West. I think this range brings back many memories for many modellers. For me personally it brings back fond memories of watching "spaghetti" westerns, Clint Eastwood and "The Duke" John Wayne movies with my dad, and watching the ever polically incorrect Lone Ranger and his "Red Indian" sidekick Tonto with my brother - and then playing "Cowboys and Indians" thereafter.

The Streets of Laredo range is a 1:32/54mm scale series; diorama pieces and accessories are all cast in 1:32 scale, while the figures are cast in the 54mm figure standard. All pieces are cast in resin, so highly detailed quality products can be expected.

Without further ado, the new and forthcoming releases...
