This soft, cream colored resin kit consist of 5 parts that build into a bearded prospector, kneeling at a stream (Stream not included) examining a fist size rock in his right hand and holding his pan in his left. The rock seems oversized to me for having been taken from the pan. He is wearing an interesting fireman style shirt with his trouser s tucked into his boots. He has a navy style Colt tucked under his belt.
Clean up went reasonably well except for the pour plug on the rounded edge of the pan. Very hard to get this off without either breaking the edge or flattening it. The shoulders both needed a bit of extra Zap-a-Gap to fill in. The head fit quite well into the collar of the shirt after cleaning another strange plug that went up the back of the neck and the brim of the hat. Attaching him to a base should not be hard since one knee is on the ground making a good spot to insert a pin or rod.
I’d recommend this for a builder with some resin clean up experience. The kit was courtesy of VLS.
The Prospector, is a 54mm figure from the new VLS Streets of Laredo figures.
