Introduction:
Nice sceneries for displaying figures have always been my soft spot. Pegaso Model’s range of PegasObjects is providing a lot of solutions in this field. High quality resin kits that fit many different eras and figures. Well-known Russian Sculptor Victor Konnov sculpts this one, a 54mm Medieval Arc.
Boxing:
The kit comes in a sturdy dark colored carton box. The box-art, painted by Davide Decina, shows 3 different views of the kit (including one featuring a figure, which provides one with a good sense of size), which serves as a painting guide. The box is filled with paper strips as protection to the 2 resin pieces, which are inside a zip locker plastic bag.
The Kit:
These scenery kits are designed to be simple in construction, and this one, consisting of only 2 pieces, is no exception. The two parts are a stone floor piece and the wall part in arc shape. The dimensions of the assembled kit are 5 x 5 cm for the base and 11 cm in height.
Quality:
The kit is sculpted beautifully, with nice texturing on the surfaces and a decoration plague on the higher part of the wall, presenting a lying animal.
The casting (done from the Greek company YS Castings - Masterpieces) is perfect, with no air holes or anything else that has to be corrected.
Fit:
The kit is simple to assemble and with some CA glue you would finish the assembly in just few seconds time. But I would suggest, considering the high wall part to use 2 metal pins on the exact spots that Pegaso has incorporated 2 resin pegs, to ensure the kits tight bonding.
Conclusion:
This is one is one more beautiful scenery kit. No matter if you are a beginner or experienced you will have the opportunity to enrich the presentation of your figure with a nice scenic. Suggested for all modelers. Though it’s easy in assembly, you will need some effort to make justice painting it. Check the boxart carefully to see what I mean! Take care in painting and you will be “Pegaso Satisfied”!
