Introduction
Djiti Production is a new figure manufacturer based in France. There first figure is one of a modern U.S. tank crewman, done in resin and in 1:35 scale. Djiti is the creation of Jean-Thomas Rembert (
djiti), and he is the sculptor of this figure as well.
The Kit
This resin kit comes in (4) pieces; body, head/helmet, right arm, and left arm. The head is attached to a nice resin block which is easy to handle and will work well for those who like to paint faces before assembly. There are some nice details sculpted into this figure; including gloves sticking out of his lower pants pocket, a bulging (as if full) upper arm pocket, vest, and many other pocket and pants details. The pose is obviously a casual standing position with a slight raising of the figures right arm.
Assembly
This figure went together for photography very easily. There was little to no flash to remove on this one. However there was the head block to separate as well as the arm mold pieces. These all came off without a hitch though and after some minor filling and sanding there shouldn't be any sign of their ever being there. Lining up the arm positions is very easy thanks to the symmetry of the clothing folds on the torso and upper arms.
Conclusions
This first offering from Djiti is very promising, but you may have some trouble finding it until they can build up the distribution channels. However, the manufacturer does sell items direct from their Website however and this one is 10 euros.
