After being out for 20 years, this is my first completed model:

Tamiya's 1/72 "Warbird" in the "Sleepy Time Gal" markings. First (and not the last) P-47 kit. A real gem. I felt like a first timer but the kit darn near snapped itself together.

Hi Matt.
I wish my first one after 20 years had looked that good!
Is it brush painted?
Thanks for posting. Looking forward to the next one

When I decided to get back into the hobby, I spent a good two months researching airbrushes, and got an Iwata HP-CS. Unfortunately, it will take some time getting into the hang of actually USING one in a more professional manner. And I screwed up the wash, so I had to respray the top coats in very thin manner. It actually LOOKS better in person, trust me The canopy, however, is brush painted, since I forgot to cut the tape when I masked it off originally. Trial and error at it's finest.

That just about sums up everytime I sit down to work on a model

Its all about having fun and learning something along the way

As I have found out many times sometimes the so called screw ups make things look better.

She is a beauty and on to be proud of. Great Job and hope to see you in January for the campaign.
